Mainstreet Male was born from a moment that shifted everything for me. In 1989, I came across a copy of the International Male catalog. For a teenager in a small town, it felt like a secret window into a more stylish, confident, and unapologetic world. The clothes had edge. The models had presence. And suddenly, fashion wasn’t just about what you wore—it was about identity and attitude.

But it was more than just fashion. That catalog also helped me begin to understand and accept who I was as a gay man. At a time when I didn’t have many examples of what that could look like, those pages quietly told me it was okay to be bold, expressive — and completely myself.

That spark stuck with me.

Years later, I created Mainstreet Male to carry that spirit forward. I run everything myself — from curating the collection to packing each order—choosing pieces that help guys stand out, feel good, and express who they are. Whether it’s a classic look with a modern twist or something that turns heads, I believe style should be fearless and fun.
